How Often Should You Service Your 4WD?

Do you know how often you should get your 4WD serviced? Maintenance can majorly impact the life span of your vehicle and avoid expensive repairs that could be addressed during a service

Every 4WD is different, but a good rule of thumb is every 10,000 kms or 6 months – whichever comes first. However, if you’re going offroad, towing, or returning from a particularly dusty trip or are just generally working your car harder than normal, you should decrease the time between services.

We offer multiple types of services here at Cairns Diesel Service to best cater to you and your vehicles needs

  • Major service: this is a comprehensive servicing, with major check-ups
  • Minor service: this is a smaller, quicker version of the major service. This will be checking the major parts of the vehicle as well as oil and filter changes.
  • Manufacturer’s servicing: this can also be referred to as a book or logbook service. This type of service will vary depending on the type of vehicle.
